01. The Wrath of the Dragon | Chapter 01: We Are At War

Image
Deep inside our hearts, something tells us that suffering is unnatural. Yet we see it every day; children cry, people die, wars, disease, famines, hunger and poverty. I have experienced quite a lot of tear-filled situations and my gut tells me that the human race was not meant to suffer and die.  What is the origin of all this? Who did it originate with? To answer these two questions is the purpose of this book.  The Bible is the most authentic source of truthful information on earth. We will therefore look through its pages to find our answers.  All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 . All the textbooks of the world combined cannot rival absolute truths enshrined within the pages of the Bible. There are only two forces at play in life’s plane of existence: the forces of Good and Evil. Pau

What am I doing here?

Image
I have just seen fire rain down from heaven and scorched everything I laid on those 12 stones! I saw as the whole crowd fell to the ground and worshipped the Almighty God! I have just slain four hundred prophets of Baal by the riverside! I prayed for rain seven times and watched as that cloud, the size of my fist, brewed up into a storm!  All my life, I have read the stories of how God has wrought His mighty works in the sight of my forefathers who journeyed forty years through the wilderness. Seas parted, water spewed out of bare rocks, manna rained every morning, a pillar of cloud to shade the day, and one of fire to warm the night. Our literature is basically about the mighty God we serve. But... Why am I running? Why am I afraid of the threat of a mere Sidonian woman?! What is wrong with me?! Why am I at the foot of this mountain, where once walked Moses? Well, one thing is clear, Jezebel seeks blood for blood because I killed her prophets, and now the news comes that she has gone

Trying to fill the void of the Heart

Image
"Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.", said the Samaritan woman to Jesus. Jesus made the woman realize she was missing something, that there was a void to be filled. Blaise Pascal said, "There is a God-shaped vacuum in the heart of each man which cannot be satisfied by any created thing but only by God the Creator, made known through Jesus Christ." In the pursuit of happiness, peace, and success, human beings try to fill this vacuum. What is it that you turn to for happiness, peace, and love? Is it your friend, husband, wife, alcohol, entertainment, pleasure, after pleasure, that makes you go around in a vicious cycle of dissatisfaction?  Depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, sorrow, and despair are different faces of the same thing - a thirst for the water of life flowing from Jesus Christ. Peer pressure, the need for validation and affection, and the need to be admired and famous, these are all signs of the unfilled void in the

The Born Again Experience

Image
Have you ever wondered what the words of Jesus meant when He said, "Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." John 3:3. We have heard it often being taught from our pulpits, Bible discussion circles, and studies. Many who have studied deep into the subject know it in theory but lack experience. Biblical statements such as, "...many are called, but few are chosen...", "...many shall say unto me...Lord Lord, but I know them not...", "...narrow is the way that leads to life, and few there be that find it..." said Jesus; are a clear depiction that the born-again experience will be experienced only by a blessed few, it is a rare experience, but not impossible. Don't be discouraged by thoughts like, "I can't do it!" or "This is very difficult to achieve!" Jehovah is the God of the impossible, and with Him, all things are possible, including the born-again experience. What you and I have to learn is to tr

GODLY HEALTH [ Step 01 : Understanding God's Design ] by Taia Colaitiniyara

Image
What is health? According to Noah Webster's 1828 dictionary: Health is that state of an animal or living body, in which the parts are sound, well organized and disposed, and in which they all perform freely their natural functions. In this state the animal feels no pain. This word is applied also to plants. Sound state of the mind; natural vigour of faculties. Salvation or divine favour, or grace which cheers God's people. Psalms 43:5 Wish of health and happiness; used in drinking. Come, love and health to all; an elliptical phrase, for, I wish health to you. Notice what Mr Webster states: "... the parts are sound, well organized and disposed, and in which they all perform freely their natural functions." Good health, therefore, is when all the parts of the human being are working at optimal level. Life is void of unnecessary pain, suffering, and difficulties. In his third epistle to the church, John writes, "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest pros

The Best Man | by Taia Colaitiniyara

Image
God made mankind to be in a relationship with their neighbours. A man is blessed if he has true friends who will accompany him in many walks of life.  When a young man comes of age and has chosen a life companion to be married, it is usually the tradition of normal wedding ceremonies that both the groom and the bride have two friends that are really significant in their lives as best man and bridesmaid.  After the night of Jesus' conversation with Nicodemus, the Lord spent some time in Judea with His disciples ministering and baptizing. On another side of the country, John the Baptist continued his ministry with his disciples. Then there arose a question between some of John’s disciples and the Jews about purifying. They came to John asking, "Teacher, he that was with you beyond, to whom you bare witness, and baptized, has begun baptizing and all men come to Him." John's answer is the source of the title of this blog post. He simply said, "A man can receive nothi

I am Nothing | by Taia Colaitiniyara

Have you ever felt you're the most intelligent person in the room, and felt good about it? I have. Have you ever thought you were the most athletic in a group? I have. Have you ever thought that you've achieved things better than many around you and that made you feel better than them? I have. God cannot connect with those who live to please themselves, to make themselves first. Those who do this will in the end be last of all. The sin that is most nearly hopeless and incurable is pride of opinion, self-conceit. This stands in the way of all growth. When a man has defects of character, yet fails of realizing this; when he is so imbued with self-sufficiency that he cannot see his fault, how can he be cleansed? “They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.” Matthew 9:12 . How can one improve when he thinks his ways perfect?  (White, E. G., Testimonies for the Church, vol. 7, p. 199) There is nothing so offensive to God or so dangerous to the human soul as pri

The Future | 02. The Time is Now

Image
Time is the most important resource on planet earth. Everything that exists on its surface has a beginning and an end. The wise king Solomon says, "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the sun." (Ecclesiastes 3:1) God's prophecies are made up of three notable features: An event The time of the event The purpose of the event The book of Revelation was given to Jesus by His Father "...to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass..." (Revelation 1:1) Everything God does in the book of Revelation is for this one reason - to "...save his people from their sins." (Matthew 1:21) Every event, every admonition, every exhortation is to fulfill this grand purpose. Said the apostle Paul: "And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness,

The Future | 01. The Revelation of Jesus Christ

Image
Thousands of years ago, among the rocks on an island off the coast of Turkey, sat a man called John. He was writing; writing down one of the most profound narratives ever given to mankind by God. He was writing the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ. The information contained within this book was given personally by God. The Bible states, "The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto Him..." Even though the book was titled after Jesus, it came from God Himself. "Surely the Lord will do nothing, but He revealeth His secret to His servant the prophets." Amos 3:7. "To show unto His servants things which must shortly come to pass."  The book of Revelation is a book of events that God foretells will take place from the time of John, right down to the end and recreation of this world. It is God's personal letter through Jesus Christ to seven churches which were in Asia during the time of John. These oracles were not just given for their learning b

Biblical and Historical Origins of False Gods

Image
After God flooded the earth during the time of Noah, his sons Japheth, Ham, and Shem started the human race anew. Below is their genealogy right down to the 12 sons of Jacob. All the names above gave birth to nations of the earth. According to the Bible and archeological findings by Ron Wyatt in 1987, the ark of Noah touched down on a mountain in the region of Ararat which is in modern-day Turkey. After the flood, the vegetation had to recover due to being submerged underwater for one hundred and fifty days. As the number of Noah's descendants grew, they looked for more fertile lands in which to establish themselves. The first human civilization after the flood began in the historical region of Mesopotamia which means: the land between rivers. The fertile region of Mesopotamia was also the birthplace of Paganism - the worship of false gods. We will now turn our attention to one of Noah's descendants, Nimrod the son of Cush, the grandson of Ham. The Bible says that he was "
