Apocalypse | 001 | The Book of Revelation

Image
Hundreds of years ago, on a rocky island off the coasts of Turkey, ink and pen touched on paper as the hand of an old veteran of the gospel wrote down one of the most astonishing narratives of all time - "The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John." (Revelation 1:1) The book is not sealed or secretive for the Greek word "apokalupsis" means disclosure or to reveal. To the earnest seeker of the truth the promise is given, "...seek and ye shall find..." (Luke 11:9) When you come to God with sincerity of heart, desiring to know the truth of His Word, God says, "Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not." (Jeremiah 33:3) God, the Father of Jesus Christ was the originator of this book and "gave it unto Jesus, to show unto his servants things which m...

03. The Wrath of the Dragon | Chapter 03: The Anomaly

What is an anomaly? Google Dictionary defines it as, “...something that deviates from what is standard, normal, or expected.” Sin was the anomaly that caused discord in the perfect universe of the Creator. It cannot be created on its own. It has to be conceived from the heart of a living creature that has an intelligent knowledge of the justice and mercy of God and has the power to choose between good and evil. The Bible defines sin as “…the transgression of the law.” 1 John 3:4 . Google dictionary says, “Laws are system of rules which a particular country or community recognizes as regulating the actions of its members and which it may enforce by the imposition of penalties.” When God created the universe, he made laws to govern his creatures and keep perfect order. For example, on the third day of creation, God said, “Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.” Genesis 1:9 . God placed a law separating the land fro...

02. The Wrath of the Dragon | Chapter 02: The Fallen Star

Where did the Devil come from? If God is the Creator of all things, was it Him who created the Devil? Why is there a war between God and the Dragon? We can ask many more questions about the Devil, but let us dive into the Bible and piece together the fragments of his story which God has revealed.  First of all, there is no higher form of rebellion against God our King than to take over his throne, become king of the universe and rule over all creation. Bearing this in mind, let us filter out passages in the Bible that speak of this kind of rebellion. One such character was the king of Tyrus during the time of Ezekiel the prophet. God said to Ezekiel, “Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God.” Ezekiel 28:2 Moreover, the word of the Lord came again to Ezekiel sa...

01. The Wrath of the Dragon | Chapter 01: We Are At War

Image
Deep inside our hearts, something tells us that suffering is unnatural. Yet we see it every day; children cry, people die, wars, disease, famines, hunger and poverty. I have experienced quite a lot of tear-filled situations and my gut tells me that the human race was not meant to suffer and die.  What is the origin of all this? Who did it originate with? To answer these two questions is the purpose of this book.  The Bible is the most authentic source of truthful information on earth. We will therefore look through its pages to find our answers.  All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 . All the textbooks of the world combined cannot rival absolute truths enshrined within the pages of the Bible. There are only two forces at play in life’s plane of existence: the forces of Good a...
